I’ve been doing affiliate marketing for 5 years now and earning commission sales online. Here are 5 affiliate marketing courses I’ve tested myself so you don’t have to. Consider me the affiliate who took the beatings for you so you know which courses to join and which to avoid.
These reviews are geared towards working from home to find the best freelancer affiliate program out there. Even making passive income at your day job counts for this round up review!
Here are all the ways you can earn digital income online by taking these courses:
- Building an authority website
- Growing your following with social media
- Capturing email lists
- Promoting products/services through affiliate marketing
- Earning ad revenue
- Selling your own products/services
Every course out there will not use all these methods above to monetize affiliate marketing. As each course I review will incorporate some elements of each.
So, let’s get started with the 5 affiliate marketing course reviews.
Affiliate Marketing Course Reviews | Table of Contents
1) Authority Hacker Reviews
What is Authority Hacker?
Authority Hacker is a made for affiliates who want earn affiliate commissions by building authority sites.
If you’re looking for a work from home affiliate program, this may be right up your alley.
I signed up for Authority Hacker’s Affiliate Marketing Course recently, and so far I haven’t been disappointed! Here is my Authority Hacker Course Review.😎
The course I’m in is called TASS 3.0. and it’s run by Gael Breton and Mark Webster.
Here is what you get in the course:
- 15 module course with over 194 video lessons.
- Extra lessons on EEAT to avoid Google Core penalties for your website.
- Finding the best affiliate programs for digital products.
- LIFETIME updates to the course whenever new lessons are added.
- Library of templates for content creation, finding your niche, sales outreach, etc…
- How to do guest posting the right way to increase your site’s authority (aka link posting partners review).
- Library of discounts you need for tools you need to grow your site. Very handy to have which I’ve used some myself.
- Access to their support community where members from the team ACTUALLY help you! They take your questions seriously and are not afraid of answering tough questions.
A Fully Comprehensive Mentorship
The cost of the course is worth the price you pay to get in. Sometimes you can get the course at a discount for half the price. I was fortunate enough to get in on a deal. Which means you should enroll into Authority Hacker before they go back to their regular price!
Not only does Authority Hacker teach you how to do affiliate marketing, but also how to build a fast website and a strong brand… things that will give you a razor competitive edge when it comes to launching your website.
You learn how to find profitable digital products affiliate programs, and how to find affiliate offers that your competitors are using. This will help you to verify which affiliate programs are actually legit and making money.
The Basics, But On Steroids
You develop full comprehensive steps and checkpoints to validate your niche with real market statistics. And the way the program is structured is done so with deliberate consideration to minimize errors you may make early on.
This significantly reduces your chances of having a finished product with multiple issues you have to come back to resolve later. A nightmare situation you will avoid following the lessons with Authority Hacker.
There aren’t any real CONs for this course. Maybe any question you have in support could take up to 2 days to get a response… But if you are a more patient person than I am, this will not be an issue for you.
If you’re seeking among the best education affiliate programs, I highly recommend enrolling with Authority Hacker. Currently, they offering free training as well. So be sure to check them out.
2) Deadbeat Super Affiliate Review
What is Deadbeat Super Affiliate?
Deadbeat (before called Deadbeat Super Affiliate) will teach how to earn affiliate commissions while you snooze. This is done by building a successful YouTube channel. The course creator is Dan Brock.
He can show you how to become successful on YouTube whether you want to show your face or go faceless.
The course briefly touches on creating a blog website and email marketing as well, but the training outside YouTube is not really in-depth.
I took this course way back in 2019 which started my path on creating my own YouTube channel. At the time I enrolled, the cost of the Deadbeat program was around USD $900.
Enjoy creating video content?
If you’re looking for the best affiliate programs for YouTubers, this is one of them. As I’ve learned many valuable lessons from this course. And implementing these lessons into my own YouTube channel has allowed me to become monetized and land top page for popular keywords.
This is an awesome strategy to leverage affiliate commission sales. As the leads coming in from your YouTube traffic can earn you a decent chunk of revenue.
The only drawback to the course was that you don’t learn how to build an authority website. You solely focus instead on mastering YouTube with the Deadbeat Affiliate training.
It seems Dan has updated his content recently since 2019. I’ve noticed that he no longer goes by Deadbeat Super Affiliate, but now Deadbeat.
If creating videos are your thing and you want the best affiliate programs for beginners without a website, be sure to check out Deadbeat.com. He’ll point you in the right direction.
3) Otherlife Affiliate Reviews
What is Otherlife Affiliate Program?
Otherlife affiliate program is run by Jeff Samis and his wife. They focus heavily on making affiliate commissions using social media and capturing email leads.
They like preaching about the wealth niche as they teach their students to focus on high ticket digital product affiliate programs. As finding a good online education affiliate program can earn affiliates high commission sales.
Currently, Otherlife offer a two tier course system:
The first beginner level course is called 7 Day Shift. It’s USD $27 to enroll and you get 7 days of basic training when it comes to affiliate marketing.
The next tier course is their Infinite Coaching Program. The cost to enroll is USD $4,000 (CAD $6,000 when I took it).
I found his 7 Day Shift course to be pretty good and made sense to me overall. Towards the end of the course is when Jeff starts to pitch his top tier membership program.
So I took the Infinite Coaching Program with high hopes because of the lessons I learned from 7 Day Shift. Another reason I joined is because I heard Jessica Samis (the wife) say that this a white glove treatment course. That you would get top priority support whenever you needed it.
But, boy was I mistaken.
So Many Issues with Otherlife Infinite Coaching.
When I became vocal about poor results I was getting from the course, I would immediately get belittled by Jeff in his Facebook support group.
On another occasion when I complained about how support was lacking in the Facebook group, I was met with a stern threat from Jeff. He said that if I ever questioned the integrity of their support staff ever again, that I would be removed from the program.
It seems Jeff and his team will not allow you to ask tough questions that scratch below surface level.
Support problems keep piling up.
At another point earlier when I joined their affiliate referral program, I ran into issues with getting my affiliate account set up. This is where you can promote Otherlife courses to others and earn affiliate commissions.
I couldn’t find the affiliate links for their Phantom program on my dashboard. The Phantom tool is an email autoresponder affiliates can earn commissions on by promoting it to others.
I used their contact form to put in a support ticket. Yet… after weeks it was never found by their staff. They just told me to put my requests into the Facebook group from now on.
If you’re going to pay USD $4,000 to receive mediocre support met with occasional threats, there is no point of flushing your money down the toilet taking this program.
Maybe they should call it the white glove smack treatment course instead.
It’s not even a lifetime course like Authority Hacker is. You only stay in the Infinite Coaching Program for 1 year during the term. Do you see the problems stacking up?
Tough Lesson Learned
Fortunately, I only lost USD $900 from this program as I entered into a payment plan.
I’ve learned that just because a course is expensive, doesn’t mean the course creator will actually deliver what you pay up front.
To be fair, the Infinite Coaching Program did offer some gold nuggets with their library of lessons.
I’m not going to lie, this course also does appear to be among the best affiliate programs with recurring commissions. You could theoretically make a killing with their affiliate referral program.
So, Is It Worth the Risk?
From the work I put in using Otherlife marketing lessons, my results were nonexistent. I was in their course for just over a month, and nothing was happening with my social media accounts. Their training is meh…
I even met a fellow Otherlife member who reached 1.2M views and 30,000 followers on his social media from the training he received with Otherlife. But, he expressed that he hasn’t made any real money using Otherlife’s training!
After personally taking 5 courses on affiliate marketing training myself, I can safely say Otherlife is not worth the money they charge for.
You can learn similar, even better tactics from Authority Hacker for a fraction of the cost (which Otherlife seems to model their niche research lessons from 🤔).
4) FullStaq Marketer Review
What is Fullstaq Marketer?
Fullstaq Marketer teaches affiliates how to earn commission sales by building a website, funnels, and auto-responders. The course creator is Keala Kanae.
They offer an introductory course called the Business Launch Challenge. It’s a 3 day program which costs USD $37 to enroll. Once you’ve signed up you will wait 2 weeks to join the live Business Launch Challenge with the Fullstaq Marketer staff.
During the waiting period you are encouraged to sign up for:
- Domain/webhosting
- Autoresponders
- Sales funnels
After 2 weeks go by, you are to join their live Zoom call and Facebook group.
The support you get in there is solely for the tools they recommend you purchase. Any other type of coaching or support will be ignored and such comments in their Facebook group will be removed (like they did for my comment). If your questions not related to their software tools they recommend, they won’t bother to answer you.
Why so? It’s because they get a kickback for every person they sign up to use these tools. So be wary of that.
But You Thought That Was Bonkers!
Towards the end of the 3 day course they will upsell their Elite Membership which costs USD $15,000! Talk about a rip off! (would you like a leg with that?🦵)
No one in their right mind should spend $15,000 to join this group! Especially when the 3 tools they offer are inferior (I’ve tested them before and have used better tools out there).
Their support offers no real beginner level mentoring. And the course creator, Keala Kanae will spam the crap out of you with marketing emails!
I’ve seen better courses out there, so I’m not willing to insure my leg for this program.
You may get some value and insight into the tools they use, but that’s about it. Suitable for complete beginners to join the entry level program. Not so good for more experienced affiliates.
5) Legendary Marketer Review
What is Legendary Marketer?
Legendary Marketer will teach affiliates how earn commissions using sales funnels.
If you’re looking for an affiliate marketing $7 course, this is the one you’ve been searching for.
They offer a 15 Day course about affiliate marketing for beginners.
On Day 3 you book a call with a mentor from Legendary Marketer. They schedule a 10 minute call to see how much experience you have with affiliate marketing, and what your goals are for the course.
This is when you can also claim your free scripts and templates on Day 4 as they mention throughout the course.
Taking the Call
When I finally got a call from a mentor on Day 4, I never got the template package as offered.
I gave the mentor a bit of hassle because of that. But he insisted on Day 5 is when I receive the templates and sales scripts. Yet when Day 5 arrived for our call he was nowhere to be found. And there was no follow up.
I joined Legendary Marketer with high hopes I got from a referral. But looks like on Day 4 is when my journey ended.
Fortunately, I’ve heard a story from another affiliate marketer who finished the Legendary Marketer program. After completing 15 days of the course, she too did not learn much from the lessons provided to her. Basically, she said that you could learn this stuff for free on YouTube if you just poked around hard enough.
The $7 affiliate marketing course may sound enticing, but I can only recommend this for absolute beginners in affiliate marketing. If you have some experience with affiliate marketing this course may not be for you. And towards the end of the course they will pitch you on their top tier USD $2,000 program.
The mentor who referred me to this course seemed to make decent money with Legendary Marketer. However, for me this isn’t the case.
Can’t really get behind a company when their members will ghost you for asking for templates you’re entitled to receive. If they can’t do the small things right, don’t expect they will deliver on the big things.
So, what now?
My number one pick to learn affiliate marketing and earn income is hands down, Authority Hacker. Not only are their courses fully comprehensive, but Authority Hacker are actually the market leaders when it comes to affiliate marketing.
If you search for the ‘best affiliate marketing programs’ in any niche, you’ll almost certainly find Authority Hacker up on page 1 search results!
You’ve seen by now how much money I’ve sank into enrolling in affiliate marketing courses myself. After the sweet and the bitter experiences, I know what works and what doesn’t. Take it from someone who’s been doing affiliate marketing for over 5 years now.😁
